At the end of the 70 minutes, Ryan O'Donoghue nailed a stunning score to tie the game and salvage a draw for Mayo.
The much respected half back was making his first punditry appearance since announcing his retirement from inter-county football earlier this month.
The iconic Mayo star made a big impression in his appearance and RTE viewers loved his punditry style and insightful analysis.
"Great to see #leekeegan on the panel in Castlebar," said one impressed viewer.
While another admirer said, "Gutted to see Lee Keegan commentating and not playing. Best player to have never won Sam."
Another viewer echoed this view by saying, "I will never get over Lee Keegan retiring."
Keegan is set to be a regular fixture on RTE's GAA coverage this year, so there will be plenty more opportunities to enjoy the Mayo great's punditry.
