A documentary focusing on the life and career of Ireland and Manchester United legend Kevin Moran aired on RTE this evening and viewers loved it.
Moran won two FA Cups with United in 1983 and 1985 and became the first ever player to be sent of in an FA Cup final in the latter of those victories. He also played for Sportin Gijon and Blackburn Rovers.
The centre-back played for Ireland at Euro '88 and Italia '90. Before he became a professional football he won two All-Ireland winners medals with Dublin in 1976 and 1977.
"#codebreaker the documentary on the life of Kevin Moran is excellent" said Diarmuid. Similar comments were flooding in across Twitter as the program went out.
Another viewer praised the production by saying, "Superb documentary on #kevinmoran #codebreaker on @RTEOne. Wonderful memories."
One Twitter user described the documentary as 'terrific' and a 'really enjoyable watch'.
Marc drew comparisons with RTE's recent Liam Brady documentary by saying, "That Kevin Moran documentary was almost as good as the Liam Brady one. Serious serious nostalgia."
One particular Tweeter gave away their age by saying, "Brilliant, brilliant programme. Loved it all, maybe because I lived it all. Well, most of it!"
The show featured other footballing legends such as Bryan Robson, Norman Whiteside, Ian Rush and Peter Reid.
