Viewers of the RTE Late Late Show on Friday night say they fell in love with Kildare actor Paul Mescal after the Aftersun star appeared to talk about his new film.
The Kildare native joined British actress Emily Watson on RTE's Late Late Show on Friday night to discuss their new film God's Creatures which was filmed during Covid-19 restrictions in Donegal.
Before the show began, the Co Kildare actor posed with host Ryan Tubridy, his own parents, Dearbhla and Paul Snr, and his grandparents on the set of the show.

Host Ryan Tubridy congratulated Paul and Emily on their new film 'God's Creatures' which they launched at the Dublin International Film Festival on Thursday night.
When Ryan Tubridy asked how Paul was faring with all the buzz around his Oscar nod for his role in 'Aftersun' and his recent attendance at the BAFTAS, the Maynooth man said that had a great support system from his family. He told Tubridy: "I'm good, I've got a great crew of people around me but it's full on."
His new drama 'God's Creatures' is about a scandal that rocks a small fishing community in Ireland.
Speaking about working alongside Emily, Paul described her as "the easiest person to fall in love with" and that they had a ball filming their scenes together for 'God's Creatures'.
Emily added that prior to filming in Ireland they all talked on Zoom, and she joked that she had "no clue" what a GAA ball was until Paul explained it.
When asked about his Oscar nod and upcoming role in the new Gladiator sequel, Paul admitted that he initially thought producers offering him the role as a joke.
He said: "It's mad, I initially thought it was a joke until I met the producers in LA a few months ago and did a Zoom call with Ridley Scott. It just happened very rapidly.
"I can't wait to get started," he added. The Maynooth man also chatted about his hilarious call with his family after he received his Oscar nomination for Aftersun, confirming that he will attend the awards ceremony with his mum and dad.
Viewers took to Twitter their share their love for Mescal who is one of the country's fastest rising stars.
One said: "Paul Mescal is extremely likeable, we’re very lucky to have him representing our nation around the world."
Another said: "Paul Mescal has the look and the ordinariness of a lad you’d meet in the Creamery in West Cork and who you’d discuss the county's chances in the All Ireland with. Great that he is a huge star, with great talent and still seems normal."
