RTE’s Jennifer Zamparelli will not be hosting Dancing with the Stars this week after testing positive for Covid-19.
The star took to social media to confirm her absence and also to reveal who will be standing in for her alongside Nicky Byrne.
In the post on Instagram, the host explained: “This week I won’t be hosting Dancing with Nicky because I have tested positive for Covid.
“To say I’m devastated to be missing a show would be an understatement but it had to be done.”
She then revealed who would be taking her place temporarily as she recovers from the virus.
“My Pal, Lottie Ryan will be taking over and she will be amazing,” Zamparelli wrote.
“Wishing Lottie and the whole crew a fab show…enjoy every second.”
Zamparelli will return to her 2FM radio show hosting duties late next week, and will be broadcasting from home.
Tomorrow night's third round of the competition will see all twelve couples take to the dancefloor for the first time and will also see the first elimination of the series.
Lottie, who was the 2020 season champion will be live on air with Nicky Byrne as Dancing with the Stars continues on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player tomorrow, Sunday, at 6.30pm.
