Dermot Bannon ruffled some feathers on Twitter this Sunday after he appeared to turn up his nose at PVC windows.
Hilary and Paul appeared on RTE's Room To Improve as they worked with Dermot to transformed Hilary's family home.
The couple were on a tight budget and so architect Dermot brought them to Forest House in Co. Donegal for some inspiration on how to keep costs low.
Dermot explained that the stunning house had "nothing really expensive", and appeared shocked by the use of PVC windows.
After mentioning PVC three times, viewers were left wondering what was wrong with the windows?
One viewer wrote on Twitter: "OK what am I missing, what's the deal against PVC windows?!"
"That's it I'm pulling out my common pvc windows tomorrow," joked a viewer.
"There is nothing wrong with PVC windows Dermot," said another Twitter user.
One other person said; '“Look! PVC windows!” Absolutely slumming it.'
"PVC windows got a bit of a derogatory dismissal there," commented another RTE viewer.
Another said: "Sitting here on my flat pack sofa resting on laminate flooring staring out my pvc windows with tears in my eyes."
While Hilary and Paul may have gone for budget-friendly options like PVC windows and laminate flooring, there home was nothing less than spectacular.
The five-bedroom house had incredible views of the Blessington Lakes in Co. Wicklow, with gorgeous large (PVC) windows framing the stunning scene.
