RTE presenter Angela Scanlon gives newborn daughter incredibly unique name

RTE host Angela Scanlon has given her newborn daughter incredibly unique name.

The Dubliner took to Instagram to post a photo of Marnie Fae Horgan who was born earlier this month, February 11, 2022.

She captioned it: “Chapped lips and chapped nips can only mean one thing… our little woman has arrived!!

“We are besotted x”.

Since posting the snap, many flooded Angela's comment section with congratulatory messages.

Singer Imelda May said: “Ah she’s adorable!!! Congratulations to you all. Grá mór.”

Irish celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna said: "Congratulations Angela!! Sending you all lots of love."

Reality star Vicky Pattison wrote: “Omg congratulations beautiful girl.”

Author Louise O'Neill said: "Ahhhh congrats my friend."

Sile Seoige added: "Aww massive congrats! Enjoy the snuggles and well done Momma.”

Angela announced last year that she was expecting her second child with her husband Roy Horgan. The couple have been married since 2014 and are already parents to daughter Ruby who was born in 2018.

Angela revealed news of her pregnancy last October when she shared a picture holding her baby bump on social media, telling her followers that she was feeling lucky, excited and nervous.

Joining Amy Huberman on her Mamia and Me podcast in November, the broadcaster revealed that she would prefer to have a home birth for her second child due to her fear of hospitals.

She explained: "I'm hoping to do a home birth. I feel really excited. Apparently, somebody brings a bath. I haven't nailed down the details as of yet and Roy is a little worried about it.

"I didn't realise that I'm quite scared of hospitals for whatever reason. I've never spent very much time in hospitals so maybe that's why, or maybe I remember it from being a baby.

"Everything looked so medical, which was quite a scary thing. So if I'm at home it'll be more chilled."
