Saoirse was diagnosed with cancer for a second time and underwent surgery in Crumlin Children's Hospital on her lung to remove a tumour .
Saoirse's mother has today revealed that the surgery was a massive success and no further treatment is needed.
The inspirational little hero even hopes to be back in school before the summer holidays but may have to wait a little longer before going back to camoige.
Roseanne wrote: "This week brought some welcome news as we received some long awaited results from Saoírse’s surgery.
"Following a call from our oncologist we learned that Saoírse’s surgery was successful and no further treatment is required, which is the best outcome we could have hoped for.
"Saoírse wrapped her arms around us with excitement.
"As many of you will know, cancer is incredibly unpredictable so the plan now is to go forward cautiously from review to review as our team wish to monitor Saoírse carefully!
"We firmly believe that the constant flow of prayers, relics, candles and masses offered for Saoírse is what helped her through this major surgery and reconstruction.
"But the real miracle of all (considering surgery wasn’t even an option to begin with) is that after numerous in-depth conversations amongst our team along with the amazingly talented Dr. Jonathan McGuinness (who we will be forever indebted to) decided to go ahead with surgery and we truly believe now that all your prayers made this happen and helped her make such a good recovery.
"We are forever grateful!
"Saoirse has made great progress since coming home two weeks ago and even though she may not be back on the camogie pitch for quite some time, she is adamant to head back to school before the summer holidays!
"Please know that while this is an amazing victory, we have to be realistic!! Saoírse may have won this battle but she hasn’t won the war…. so we go forward now and hope that you will all continue to keep Saoírse in your hearts and prayers!
"As I said before and I’ll say it again-life is SO SO unbelievably precious."
People were delighted to hear the great news and wished the family well.
One person said: "Delighted to hear the surgery went well."
Another wrote commented: "Wonderful news."
A third said: "The best news, so happy for you all!!!!"
