RTE Late Late Show line-up revealed as Oscar-winning star joins Ryan Tubridy

The Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy has revealed two of the stars who will appear on the popular talk show this Friday, September 16.

Speaking to his RTE Radio 1 listeners this morning, Ryan revealed that he will be joined in studio by Fiona O'Carroll and Brenda Fricker.

Viewers will be most familiar with Fiona O'Carroll, who is the daughter of Brendan O'Carroll, as Maria from Mrs Brown's Boys.

As well as her role in the popular Dublin-based comedy, Maria has recently been lighting up the stage as part of Copper Face Jacks: The Musical at Dublin's at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre.

Meanwhile, Dublin-born Oscar-winning actress Brenda Fricker will join Ryan on the sofa and will chat about about the series Holding, working on her memoir and how her dog Juno is giving her a run for her money.

Also on the line-up is former Miss Ireland Pamela Uba who, alongside Fiona O'Carroll, will speak to Ryan about their decisions to take part in RTE's Ultimate Hell Week: The Professionals.

Meanwhile, Ryan will also chat to Irish Rugby Sevens squad who created history last weekend when they beat Australia to win bronze at the World Cup in Cape Town.

Viewers will also be treated to an appearance from renowned baker and owner of 2210 Patisserie, Una Leonard who will tell Ryan how the discovery for her love of baking saved her life when she hot rock bottom, which led to her hugely successful business venture and landing a book deal.

Plus, historian Michael B. Barry and photographer John O'Byrne will showcase their new book, The Irish Civil War in Colour..

In terms of music, viewers will be brought over to Mullingar for a performance of Don't Take It Personally by The Academic.
