RTE Late Late Show line-up includes Mary Black, world champion gymnast, and former Ireland manager

This week's jam-packed RTE Late Late Show line-up has been confirmed.

Legendary Dublin folk singer Mary Black will join Ryan Tubridy on Friday night ahead of her Lifetime Achievement Award at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards later this month, to chat about her life and career in music. She will also treat viewers to a performance of some of her favourite songs.

Rhys McClenaghan, who made history last weekend by becoming the first Irish gymnast to become a world champion after winning gold on the pommel horse in Liverpool, will also join Ryan in studio. Rhys will discuss why Katie Taylor is his inspiration and what it felt like to achieve a dream he has had since jumping off his first trampoline at age six.

Comedian and author Rory O'Connor, also known as Rory's Stories, will also star on tomorrow night's programme. He will speak about his journey from struggling in school to writing four books and building a community of over 1 million online followers.

Ryan will also chat to Offaly native and YouTube superstar Jacksepticeye, otherwise known as Sean McLoughlin. The online celebrity has an incredible 28 million YouTube subscribers and will discuss his ten year journey in the business.

When he swapped GAA for soccer, Martin O’Neill couldn’t have imagined the road it would take him on - European Cups with the legendary Brian Clough, cup final wins in Wembley and a managerial career that saw him mastermind some of Ireland’s biggest wins in the past decade. Martin will discuss it all on the show, including how he feels about his time as Ireland manager now that the dust has settled.

Ryan will also speak with Cara Darmody, aged 12, from Tipperary who sat her Junior Cert Maths exam last June, to raise funds for therapy services for children with special needs. As she awaits her results, she will talk about what inspired her to take on this challenge and her plan to tackle the Leaving Cert next year.

Dublin musician Ailbhe Reddy will also perform a song as she gears up to head off on a tour of the UK and Europe.

The Late Late Show airs on RTE One and RTE Player tomorrow night at 9.35pm.
