It's a two-presenter race to take over from Ryan Tubridy as presenter of The Late Late Show - with the latest odds showing Sarah Mcinerney's support surging her in alongside perennial favourite Claire Byrne.
According to BoyleSports, a new wave of bets are being placed for the Galway native to land the role with her odds having been backed at 5/4 from 7/2.
The support for a woman to land the role has been strong. with all the leading candidates being female. Claire Byrne is still the most popular, with odds at 4/6.
After Claire and Sarah comes Jennifer Zamparelli with odds at 12/1, and Ciara Doherty at 16/1 is also in the running.
Comedian Patrick Kielty is the most popular male, who shot up last week to 16/1.
A BoyleSports spokeswoman said: “Ryan Tubridy’s final Late Late Show is getting closer and while RTÉ remain tight-lipped, speculation is rife and Sarah McInerney is now the shortest price she has ever been.”
