The season two finale of the hit RTE crime drama Kin hit screens on Sunday night and viewers were united in saying the same thing after a major twist saw one character get whacked.
For eight tense episodes, RTE viewers have watched Bren (Francis Magee) wreak havoc on his own family the Kinsellas, while the Patuks have also been breathing down their necks over a debt. In the penultimate episode, many fans were left uncomfortable by Bren and it appeared that his family was ready to be rid of him for good.
Warning, if you haven’t caught the most recent episode of the show, don’t read ahead because there are some pretty big spoilers ahead.

In the season two finale, RTE Kin fans finally got their wish as baddie Bren met his maker on tonight's season finale at the hand of an unlikely assassin- his brother Frank (played by Aidan Gillen). Social media was immediately abuzz as many expressed their shock and delight as it seems that we have bid farewell to the villainous Bren.
One person commented on Twitter: "I'm gonna say it #Kin is better than Love/Hate." A second commented: "What an episode of Kin. Brilliant from start to finish."
A third said: "LITERALLY STUNNED." A fourth joked: "That pub is definitely jinxed/haunted now. What a season."
"What an unreal ending to an amazing season. Loved EVERY episode."
Another person said that they were "on the edge of the seat" throughout the tense episode as the Kinsellas scrambled to try take out Bren. The first twist of the night was Amanda (Clare Dunne) making an alliance with enemy Nuray Patuk, but it was the final twist in the last few minutes at the Kinsellas' pub that shocked viewers.
Inside the pub, Frank took out Bren with a gunshot to the head. And for fans wanting to know more, Kin has been greenlit for season 3 as the Kinsellas continue to battle for their lives.
