RTE Kin viewers all demand same thing ahead of season finale

The latest episode of the hit RTÉ crime drama hit the screens on Sunday night and viewers were all in agreement over the future of Kin following the penultimate episode.

The second last episode of the show’s second season aired this weekend and fans jumped to social media to share how things have gotten darker in the gangland show and that they cannot get enough of it.

This week’s episode followed the chaos created by Bren as it reached its peak with the Kinsellas being driven to mayhem. Meanwhile, Michael and Viking both suffered heartbreak, and Frank sought out change, RSVP reports.

Ahead of next week’s season finale, viewers took to Twitter to discuss this week’s instalment, all agreeing that they want more.

One fan tweeted: “Kin will go the same distance as Love/Hate. The increased budget this season has brought it to another level and it will only get better. Storyline and acting much better, roll on the season finale.”

“Wow... next week is the final part. I hope they come back with series 3 soon… Best series 2021 and 2023,” another wrote.

One more added: “Kin is utterly terrific. A gripping gangster tale that's The Soprano's meets Love/Hate with Peaky Blinders hints. Can't wait for more”.

With another chiming in with: “Another great episode of Kin can't wait for the finale now!”

Dermot Horan, Director of Acquisitions and Co-Productions RTÉ, said, via Buzz: "From all the research we have done, we know that our viewers want the choice of when to watch their dramas.
