RTE viewers tuned into a fan favourite on Thursday as plenty of hopeful romantics once again entered the First Dates restaurant.
The dating show has become a ratings hit, with singletons chatting with maitre d' Mateo and staff as they look to find a bit of love.
Tonight was no different, as four couples were paired together to see if sparks would fly.
And those who watched along were enthralled, emotional and entertained by some of the stories.
Douglas and James
Waterford native Douglas, a drag artist, described himself as "intrinsically shy", but he got on well with Newbridge man James who was pet-obsessed.
Douglas opened up on being diagnosed with HIV and throat cancer in the past, while James explained his troubles in a long-distance relationship.
One person said: "Oh my god, this lad has been through it. HIV, throat cancer, mental health. Still here and going strong. Amazing!"
They agreed to a second date, leaving everyone feeling all lovey-dovey.
Rob and Abby
Dubliner Rob was making people mad with his mullet but it was perfect for Australian Abby, who had told us before she had even seen him that she "loved mullets"
Though things didn't get off to the best start when Rob had no clue what Waltzing Matilda was!
One person tweeted: "You can't sport a mullet and not know Waltzing Matilda. You're a fraud!"
And there was even more shock when Rob revealed he never had soup.
That got a big reaction, with one person saying: "never had soup, doesn’t know waltzing matilda, what kind of quality of life has this kid had at all"
"Imagine, growing up your whole life and never having soup?!" Abby remarked.
They agreed on a second date - with the mullet being a clincher!
Pauline and Alan
Taxi driver Alan was looking for love with bubbly self-made Cavan native Pauline.
Pauline sadly lost her mother after a long battle with dementia, which Alan sympathised with.
The duo bonded over lost loves, with Alan also explaining how his daughter was one of his best friends.
However, Pauline preferred to keep in touch as friends, having not felt a connection.
Jamie and Tina
Corkman Jamie regaled how he had a "Michael Jackson, Mam rip" tattoo after a trip to Turkey.
"The only thing worse than that tattoo is that suit" noted one user.
So who better to match him up with than a girl who brings a box of tea to a date?! Limerick woman Tara did just that.
Though she struggled to get her food on her fork, leading to much hilarity.
After keeping him on the hook for a second, Tina laughed as she agreed to a second date.
