Viewers of the Claire Byrne Live programme on Monday night were left baffled over one topic discussed on the show.
The RTE current affairs show featured discussions on the trucker protest in Dublin, as well as the war in Ukraine and Tony Holohan.
It was one segment that got people talking as the question of whether veganism is the answer to helping combat climate change was raised again.

The discussion wasn't about humans, however, but whether a vegan diet is a good idea for dogs.
Comedian Jason Byrne and model Thalia Heffernan joined Claire Byrne in the studio as a couple of furry friends did a 'taste test' of some vegetarian offerings.
Viewers at home shared their thoughts on the issue, with many opining that a vegan diet for dogs is not something they would support.
One person said: "I have kept my lips sealed on several modern trends despite being fairly sceptical at times, but vegan dogs are a step too far for me. Have we totally lost it? #cblive."
A second wrote: "With all due respect, that segment on #CBLive could have been used to hold the Minister responsible (Eamon Ryan) to account on the government’s climate inaction, rather than discussing dogs going vegan to 'save the planet'."
A third said: "It’s a bit tone deaf to have trivial crap about #vegan diet for dogs in the same programme that has #Ukrainian refugees describing their heartbreaking trauma and destroyed lives since #Putin sent in his goons to kill them all #cblive."
A fourth commented: "Well that was a disaster. Even the dogs refused vegan shyte! #cblive."
A fifth stated: "The dogs giving a clear answer on the vegan option #cblive."
A sixth wrote: "Putting your dog on a vegan diet is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard in a long time #cblive."
Someone else said: "Even the dogs said no thanks to #Vegan!!!! #cblive."
Another viewer commented: "#cblive I know life must go on but from humanitarian crisis where people in the studio had to drive past dead people to come here and we are asking those same people to listen to a discussion on vegan dogs. This is not right."
While one person said: "#cblive for Peat's sake dogs going vegan."
