RTE star Tracy Clifford has said she doesn’t let ratings define her or her radio show.
The 2FM presenter gained 1,000 new listeners to her radio show, according to the latest JNLRs, totalling 129,000 listeners daily.
But Tracy admitted the ratings do not define her.

She said: “It doesn’t define who I am if I get thousands more listeners, I’m still going to be a perfectionist on air.”
And Tracy said she never boasts about her big wins on social media.
“I’ve never celebrated my big wins on social media because then you have to acknowledge everything else.
“I prefer to just keep my head down, the same as how I am with my dreams and ambitions,” she told the Rte Guide.
She said you have to have a love for music while working in 2FM – but she often wonders if her musical tastes will change over time.
“For me here in 2FM, I think you need to have a love of music, but musical tastes are going to change, and the question is will I want to be playing music that I’m not enjoying in ten years’ time? Then you’d have to make a choice.”
Tracy also revealed she has cancelled her wedding to fiance Mark saying it was “a complete relief” after the couple were forced to reschedule several times due to Covid.
The couple were due to get married in May 2020 but instead have bought a new home.
“When it was cancelled that May, I thought, okay we’ll push it out to July, then we pushed it out again and then ultimately, we just kicked it down the road.
“We had planned for 2021, but then that year the numbers went through the roof, and I knew it wasn’t going to happen that year either, so it was a complete relief to just cancel it altogether, for now.
“We feel married anyway,” she added.
