Dozens of jobs with the RSPCA are now available with many promising 'no two days will be the same'.
The welfare charity is looking for new animal rescue officers in Merseyside to join the team. On its website, the RSPCA said in this role people will be a "vital front line worker".
Successful candidates will respond to alleged reports of animal cruelty, neglect or injury and collect and rescue sick, injured or stranded animals before taking them to safety. According to the job description, the role is "very rewarding and challenging at the same time."

It said: "No two days are ever the same and there's no better feeling knowing you've made a real difference to the lives of animals (and owners through education and sharing knowledge). The role is very rewarding and challenging at the same time.
"You will be dealing with challenging situations, so will need the ability to stay calm, professional and focused, whilst resilient. Your genuine love for animals and sense of duty will keep you motivated."
The candidate does not need previous animal handling experience and the successful person who gets the job will receive full training across a number of weeks. The job pays an annual salary of £21,750 plus a 4% shift allowance.
To be considered:
- You need to be 17 or over to apply, and 18 by the time you start the course.
- You must live within a reasonable travelling distance (30 minutes) of the group area you are applying to.
- You must be available to start working on the 6th February 2023 and be fully available for a 4 month intensive training period, during which you may not be able to take annual leave.
- The 4 month training period will entail multiple training locations across the country, so it is important that you are free to travel during this period, including occasional overnight stays.
- The role does involve a lot of driving so you need a full manual drivers licence and be comfortable driving long distances.
- Ideally you have a Level 2 qualification in English Language at GCSE grade C or above, or Grades 4-9.
The job is 35 hours a week on a shift rotation between 7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday. The closing date to apply in Wednesday, October 26 at 11.30pm.
