She doesn't understand why nobody wants her - but volunteers still hold on to the hope that somebody special will walk into her life.
Snowy, a Staffordshire bull terrier, has spent about 500 days in kennels at the RSPCA's Birmingham Animal Centre after being unable to secure a new home.
Staff have been struggling to understand why the nine-year-old dog hasn’t met her match yet - and have issued a desperate plea to try to increase her chances.
Kennel supervisor Kelly Legg said: “Snowy loves a fuss and has lots of energy so she’ll need someone who can keep up with her! She absolutely loves to play but be warned: soft toys don’t last long around her!”

They are looking for a dog-savvy owner who can help her with her anxiety around other dogs.
Before coming to the RSPCA, her previous owner used to allow her to run free and that, sadly, led to some altercations with other dogs so she must now stay on the lead and be muzzled when out in public.
Kelly added: “It’s really important that Snowy’s new owners understand how important it is to adhere to these rules and, sadly, we think the muzzle is putting potential adopters off.”
She has undergone training with the team and has learned basic commands but would love to learn more. She’s a clever girl who picks things up quickly.
Snowy loves going for long walks and playing tug. The volunteers would like an adult-only home ideally or a family home with older children who are confident around dogs, and she needs to be the only pet. Her adopters will need to have an enclosed, secure garden.
The RSPCA is continuing to urge people to adopt an animal in need rather than turning to breeders when wanting to welcome a four-legged friend into their family.
"While it may be easy to find animals on the internet or even spend hundreds on an expensive breeder, you could risk heartache or huge vet's bills if you don't do your homework," a statement reads.
"By adopting and not shopping you'll also feel good for doing good - by giving an animal a second chance at life in a loving home!
"Plus, adopting from us means that you can relax knowing that all our animals are healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
"As with all the animals we rehome, we'll pass on the details of their behaviour and veterinary treatment. You'll likely know more about your rescue animal's history than if you were to buy an animal online!
"We've taken the time to get to know each animal as an individual, to understand their likes and dislikes and to prepare them for life in a loving family, which means there are less likely to be nasty surprises when you get home!
"When you adopt a cat or a dog from one of our centres, you'll also get four weeks free pet insurance, which is vital to protect your pet's future as well as your bank balance! There's so much to gain from rescuing an animal in need."
