While the world mourns the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, the royal family are remembering a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The Queen's four children - Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward - rushed to Balmoral on Thursday after doctors said they were concerned for her health, however she had already passed away by the time some of them arrived at the Scottish estate. Following the 96-year-old's death, Operation London Bridge has been put into place - which sets out the well-prepared plan for the lead up to the State Funeral. Today, the royals continue to grieve for the Queen, prepare tributes for the monarch and support Charles in his new role as King. Here are their movements today...
King Charles and Queen Camilla
King Charles and his Queen Consort Camilla are currently in London, where His Majesty will address the nation later today.
The couple stayed overnight at Balmoral, where Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully aged 96 on Thursday afternoon.
Charles was glimpsed on the first occasion since his accession to the throne as he departed Birkhall, his private home on the Balmoral estate, by car.
With Camilla in the front passenger seat, Charles sat in the back, dressed in his mourning clothes of a black suit and tie, looking sombre as they headed to Aberdeen Airport.
Camilla stared straight ahead as they were driven from the Scottish residence, where they had rushed to be at the Queen’s bedside when she fell gravely ill.

The grief-stricken King’s plane landed at RAF Northolt in west London at around 13.34pm on Friday – his first time on English soil since becoming monarch after flying there from Aberdeen.
When he landed at RAF Northolt, a group of more than 100 people assembled to watch him land in England for the first time as king.
The couple then headed to Buckingham Palace for the first time as King and Queen, where Charles greeted the crowds gathered outside and looked at floral tributes.
He will later have an audience with Prime Minister Liz Truss and his address to the nation will be broadcast.
Prince William
Prince William, who is now the Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge, started the day in Balmoral after he raced to the Scottish Highlands yesterday with several other family members.
At around 1pm, Kensington Palace confirmed that William had left Scotland and was heading back to Windsor to be with his family.
Tomorrow, he will attend the Accession Council, where his father Charles will officially be proclaimed King at St James' Palace.
Kate Middleton
Kate, the now Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, did not travel to Balmoral with her husband Prince William yesterday.
She stayed in Windsor after having taken her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to their first day at their new school.
It is thought she has remained at Windsor today, where she will be reunited with her husband.
Prince Harry
Prince Harry is currently back in Windsor after spending the night with his family mourning the death of the Queen.
The Duke of Sussex rushed to be at his ailing grandmother’s bedside on Thursday amid concerns from doctors. It came while he was visiting the UK from his new home in California.
Tragically Prince Harry, back in the country from his US home for a charity bash in London, arrived in Balmoral 90 minutes after the announcement Her Majesty had passed away.
On his arrival at Windsor the Duke of Sussex cut a sombre figure as he was driven in the Land Rover by his security team.
He was seen leaving Balmoral earlier this morning before heading to Aberdeen Airport.
On his arrival the 35-year-old was comforted by an airport worker before boarding the plane and heading south.
Meghan Markle
It is believed that Meghan Markle is at Windsor, where she has been reunited with her husband Harry.
Meghan had been travelling in the UK to attend a number of events with Harry and the pair were due to appear at the Well Child Awards last night before they pulled out following news of the Queen's deteriorating health.
She had been planning on travelling to the royal estate with his her husband, but instead the couple opted for her to remain in London.
Other royals
Other royals that raced to the Balmoral yesterday were the Queen's other children Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and her daughter-in-law Sophie Wessex.
They are believed to still be at Balmoral with Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall.
The Queen's great-grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have remained in Windsor with their mum Kate.
