The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to play the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs this afternoon, and one of Western Missouri’s most recognizable stars is embracing the excitement of the postseason.
Royals superstar shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. is among the best players in baseball and has an especially close relationship with his neighbors across the parking lot at the Truman Sports Complex.
Despite hailing from Texas, Witt has fully embraced life in Kansas City and decided to make a post on Twitter cheering on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce ahead of the defending Super Bowl champions’ tilt against Houston.

Mahomes is a minority owner in the Royals and, as a result, has developed a special relationship with Witt since the shortstop’s major debut in 2022.
Stay tuned to see if Witt will continue to post about his excitement for Chiefs football.
