The Royal Parks Half Marathon is making a year this month, with runners raising money for good causes.
On Sunday, October 8, all those who are fundraising for a charitable organisation will be competing against one another to take the win home.
Dubbed as the greenest race of its kind in the country, some of its charity partners include Mind, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Cancer Research UK, and Shelter.
Here is a comprehensive look at the event, including when it starts, its route, and how to watch.

What time does the half-marathon start?
The event is set to kick off at 9am on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Each runner will receive a boarding pass for the event, which will contain their recommended arrival time as well as their wave’s loading and start times.
What is the route?
The Royal Parks Half Marathon runs through the heart of London and is 13.1 miles long.
Starting at the Event Village in Hyde Park, competitors will journey through four of the capital’s eight Royal Parks: Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park, and Kensington Gardens.
The runners are also set to have great views, with the route taking them by Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and the Royal Albert Hall.
They will end the race where they started in Hyde Park.
How to watch
Those who would like to cheer their loved ones on or simply enjoy the race can walk along the race route.
With the mini heatwave expected to make Sunday a sunny affair, many might take the opportunity to picnic at the park during the event.
The Met Office has reported that remperatures in the capital could reach up to 26ºC degrees over the weekend, making the UK hotter than the likes of Turkey, Greece, and the Costa del Sol.
