The Royal Mint has issued a statement on money featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
Production is underway on the coins featuring the portrait of new monarch King Charles III. However, the Royal Mint urged people to "keep an eye on their change" as they revealed the last coins featuring the late Her Majesty entered circulation this week.
It announced on Twitter : "We're excited to share that 5 million 50p coins celebrating 50 Years of UK Pride will enter circulation via 2,000 @PostOffice branches over the coming weeks - starting today.

"The coins will be the last to enter circulation which feature Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's portrait Some coins will also be making their way into tills at The Royal Mint Experience from tomorrow, so look out for them if you're visiting!"
There are approximately 27 billion coins bearing the portrait of the late Queen currently in circulation in the UK and these will remain legal tender, being replaced over time as they become damaged or worn and to meet demand. Historically, it has been common for coins featuring different monarchs to be used at the same time and this will now happen with coins of the late Queen and Charles.
As well as coins featuring the new Monarch's face, a memorial 50 pence in honour of the late Queen will also be appearing in the public's change through banks and post offices from December. Workers at the Royal Mint in south Wales will produce 9.6 million copies of the coin to mark the Queen's death at the age of 96.
