Royal fans spot Meghan Markle's 'reaction to Kate Middleton' during Jubilee service

Keen viewers of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations have pointed out Meghan Markle 's reaction to Kate Middleton as the Duchesses attended a service to honour Her Majesty's 70 years of service.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK from their new home in Los Angeles for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, in what was their first public appearance with the Cambridges since Megxit.

Although the Duchesses never came face-to-face at Friday's Service of Thanksgiving, royal fans couldn't help but notice Meghan's "obvious" snub of Kate as she arrived at the cathedral.

The eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Meghan can be seen turning her head away from the Duchess of Cambridge in an apparent refusal to look at her sister-in-law.

Taking to Twitter, royal fan Kitty shared the BBC ’s footage of the moment that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge entered the cathedral.

Captioning the clip, Kitty wrote: “Did everyone notice the woman in white hat (Meghan) turned her head to the left when The Duchess of Cambridge was walking past…”

Fellow royal watchers were quick to agree, with many saying they had also noticed the "reaction".

“Yes I did notice this,” wrote one, while another agreed, “It’s very obvious too.”

A third wrote: “Wow it is obvious when you see it.”

Agreeing, another added: “Top spot! She definitely turned away!”

The Queen was not in attendance after struggling with some 'discomfort' while attending the first day of celebrations, Trooping the Colour of Thursday.

Most other senior royals joined the Sussexes at the cathedral with the exception of Prince Andrew who is said to be ill with Covid.

However Harry and Meghan opted not to bring their two children, Archie, three, and Lillibet, one, who only met her great grandmother and monarch for the first time on Thursday.

The "nervous" couple were not seen at the Pageant and grand finale of the celebrations today (Sunday, June 5).
