Like many other royals, the Duchess of Cambridge often uses her clothes and jewellery to send coded messages.
And royal fans are convinced she did this last week and used her outfit to drop a major hint that the Duchess of Cornwall was about to be publicly backed by the Queen to be Queen Consort - days before she released her bombshell statement.
It came last Thursday when Kate joined Prince Charles and Camilla for a rare joint day out in East London.
She was invited by her father-in-law to join him and his wife at Trinity Buoy Wharf, a centre in East London run by the Prince's Foundation, where traditional textile skills are taught.
For the occasion, Kate recycled a chic grey coat dress by Catherine Walker that she teamed with black tights and black heels.
And royal fans have pointed out that another time she wore the same ensemble was in 2019 during an engagement at King's College, London - where she was invited to join the Queen.
According to Hello! one royal fan commented on Instagram : "Does this mean that Kate made the appearance and wore the grey dress again with Camilla that she last wore with the Queen to a very subtle hint at the announcement about Camilla being Queen Consort?"

While another added: "It's not the first time she's worn grey with Camilla and Charles. And the first time she wore this coat was when she accompanied the Queen on an engagement. I don't think it's a coincidence if that makes sense."
Meanwhile, others pointed out it was noticeable that Kate opted for an outfit in a muted grey colour, while Camilla wore green, in order not to outshine her.
On Saturday night, just two days after the royal trio's outing, the Queen released an extraordinary message on the eve of her Platinum Jubilee expressing her "sincere wish" for Camilla to be Queen Consort when Charles is King.
When Camilla wed Charles in 2005, a statement said she intended to use the title Princess Consort, rather than Queen Consort, when her husband becomes King.
It followed low popularity ratings after she was thrust into the spotlight when it was revealed she had been having an affair with Charles during his marriage to Princess Diana.
However, following rising public opinion, the Queen issued an extraordinary statement on the eve of her Platinum Jubilee on Saturday saying it was her "sincere wish" for Camilla to be Queen.
The monarch said: I remain eternally grateful for, and humbled by, the loyalty and affection that you continue to give me.
"And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service."
