The remaining royals at Balmoral have left the estate to travel to a nearby church to hold private prayers for the Queen following her death at 96.
A party of family members travelled to the nearby Crathie Kirk, on the other side of the River Dee, at around 2pm, two days after the death of the monarch was announced.
It is understood that the group includes Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as well as their daughter Lady Louise. They were joined by the Princess Royal, her husband Commander Tim Lawrence and her daughter Zara Tindall.
Prince Andrew, who has withdrawn from the public eye following allegations about the nature of his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, was also believed to be among the royals who visited the church to pray, alongside his children Eugenie and Beatrice.
Scores of mourners were whisked away from the tributes and moved behind a set of barriers at around 1.30pm ahead of the procession of Range Rovers leaving the estate.
Following the 20 minute service at the 19th century kirk, some of the royals are expected to return to the front gate to view the tributes left to the Queen in recent days.
King Charles III remains in London having been proclaimed the new monarch in a ceremony broadcast on TV on Saturday morning.
During the ceremony he approved an order allowing the Queen's upcoming funeral to be a bank holiday in the United Kingdom.
The King was joined by his wife Camilla, who is now Queen Consort, and his son and heir Prince William, who is now the Prince of Wales and wife Kate Princess of Wales.
Kate was last seen driving in Windsor, dressed in all black and wearing dark sunglasses, on Friday afternoon. She stayed in Windsor with their three children as William rushed to Balmoral on Thursday.
William returned to Windsor to be with his family before the Accession Council meeting on Saturday morning.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will remain in the UK until after the Queen's funeral, it has been claimed. Harry arrived at Balmoral on Thursday evening after his grandmother passed away and was the first royal to leave the following morning.
