Royal Britannia staff were forced to hit back at a tourist's claims they 'could not see the outside of the ship close up'.
The visitor left a damming review of the famous Edinburgh attraction on TripAdvisor after their trip to the capital earlier this month.
Giving their experience of the royal yacht just two out of five stars, they said the historic vessel 'did not show off its potential' and suggested people's time would be better off spent seeing other well-renowned ships across the UK.

However, the Royal Britannia team issued a swift response on the travel review site, questioning whether the person had even bothered to visit the attraction.
The tourist's critical feedback said: "Very disappointed - you cannot see the outside of ship close up.
"Save your time and make a trip to Dundee to see Scott's Endeavour or if in London go to Greenwich to see the Cutty Sark, that’s how to show off classic ships."
Royal Britannia staff defended the ship, which generally garners hugely favourable reviews, and said: "From your review, it is unclear whether you visited Britannia.
"For those wishing to view the exterior of the Royal Yacht, a great view of the whole of Britannia can be found at the Viewing Terrace within Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre.
"For the information of others, admission to Britannia is less than other top Edinburgh attractions and includes a complimentary audio guide as well as an Annual Pass which allows each visitor to return, free of charge, for a year.
"Britannia has been named as the UK’s Best Visitor Attraction 2020 by Which? Magazine, and has retained its TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best Award for the 9th consecutive year, making us one of the Top 1% in the World."
