Former Rangers coach Roy Makaay has warned Celtic to be wary of Croatian star Luka Ivanusec ahead of tomorrow's Champions League showdown after Feyenoord smashed a 67-year-old record.
The Hoops travel to Rotterdam for their opening group stages game with the Dutch side in ominous form.
They netted five goals or more for the third game in a row for the first time since the Eredivisie was set up in 1956, after hammering Heerenveen 6-1 at De Kuip.
They also annihilated Almere City 6-1 and romped to a 5-1 win at Utrecht. However, they will be missing their two main strikers against Celtic with Santiago Gimenez suspended and Ayase Ueda injured.
But former Bayern Munich and Dutch international striker Makaay, who was an assistant to Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox until they were axed last November, has pinpointed Croatia international playmaker Ivanusec, who scored his first goal for the club following his £8 million transfer from Dinamo Zagreb last month.
Makaay said: "Luka Ivanusec is a very good player. You can see that and he was rightly awarded Man of the Match against Heerenveen.
"He played in the away win at Utrecht and then this game so he has helped them with 11 goals so far.
"The frightening thing is that he is only just settling in and won't know yet how Feyenoord plays properly and their style.
"Once he learns that he will get even better. 'He's just a great player. He's very easy to watch on the eye. He also knows where the goal is.
"He plays for Croatia for a reason and they are clearly one of the best teams in Europe. If you are a first pick for them, then it tells you everything about his qualities.
"Feyenoord are going to have a lot of fun and success with him." And Ivanusec can't wait to face Celtic at De Kuip.
He said: "The atmosphere in the stadium was great, but I am expecting even better on Tuesday.
"I still feel there is a lot more to come from me. I have to become more relaxed and then things will go better.
"I have to be more comfortable on the ball. I think I will get better soon."
