Roy Makaay will be looking to make sure Rangers are above par next season.
And the Ibrox assistant teed up for the new campaign with a round of golf at St Andrews with a few celebrity pals.
Dutchman Makaay took to social media to share a snap at the famous Castle Course alongside former Bayern Munich team-mates Claudio Pizzaro, Owen Hargreaves and Giovane Elber.
Hargreaves was hugely complimentary of Rangers during their Europa League run in his work for BT Sport.
Rangers return to pre-season on June 27 and Makaay is enjoying what’s left of his break at the Home of Golf.
Makaay joined Giovanni van Bronckhorst after striking up a close relationship during their time together with the Holland international side and worked together at Feyenoord.
The 47-year-old was one of the most prolific strikers during his heyday, with Bayern Munich shelling out a club record €18.75 million to sign him from Deportivo La Coruna in 2003, and is crucial to Van Bronckhorst.
Makaay admitted he was blown away by the atmosphere at Ibrox Stadium after making the move to Govan last season.
He said after his appointment: “It was easy. The boss asked me if I wanted to join his backroom staff, as you call it here, if he was appointed as head coach. It was an easy question with an easy answer.
"I enjoyed working with him at Feyenoord so when he gave me the opportunity to join in I don’t have to think much.
"At Feyenoord, we came back together. We have known each other a long time and the families get along very well. When he asked me at Feyenoord to make the step from the youth academy to the first team, it was a big honour.”
