Roy Keane has insisted that this is not the same Manchester United that he played for after watching another mauling from the Sky Sports studio.
Liverpool ran riot at Anfield, as expected, when they stuffed their rivals 4-0 - just a goal short of their thrashing at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane all got on the scoresheet - the former grabbing a brace - to put the Reds temporally top of the Premier League.
Manchester City face Brighton tonight at the Etihad as they look to reassert themselves in a title race that promises to go to the wire. But while these two titans tussle it out at the top, United can only watch from the gutter.
And for the former Red Devils captain Keane, it just underlined his thoughts on the current squad - which is a million miles from the one he commanded 20 years ago. He said after the match: "I think it was anger at the start at the season, now I just think it is sadness. You look at the team today, there was no heart, no soul, no leaders.
"They lacked quality, they were so far off. You look at the Manchester United fans, they don’t look surprised by the scoreline. They kept going to the end but you felt as though Liverpool could score whenever they wanted when they went forward.
"There is disarray at this football club, from the top to the bottom. The fans have got no times for the owners. They want new owners, a new manager and new players. It’s so sad to see because it is not the club I played for. It is not what Manchester United stood for when I played for them, it is just chalk and cheese. I don’t see a Manchester United team out there fighting or playing with pride."

United are still fighting for a spot in the top four this season and sit three points behind Tottenham, who sit in the position at the moment. However, the confidence is completely lacking from the squad and Keane pulled no punches.
The Irishman added: "Marcus Rashford played like a child up front. Harry Maguire - the last goal - his passing and defending was unacceptable, not good enough for Manchester United.
"So we have to use that word again - rebuild. United are sixth in the league - unbelievable. What the club have always had in my experience was brilliant characters, people who would give everything they had for the club. But this team has no soul. Even in their words afterwards, it's very robotic and there's no emotion."
