Manchester United great Roy Keane has admitted that the Glazer family's decision to put the club up for sale is "good news", adding that there is no relationship between the American owners and the fans.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, the club confirmed that the Glazers had put United up for sale after 17 years in charge at Old Trafford.
The chants of ' Glazers Out' had been a constant backdrop to United games before the World Cup break. The supporters had been keen to ensure that the club's signing of Antony from Ajax this summer did not take attention away from the wider problems they've faced.

It appears now that their protests have bore fruit, even though there is a long way to go between now and any potential sale. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been heavily linked with a takeover in recent months, and the British billionaire will be keeping a close eye on the latest developments, as he considers his next steps.
Despite the announcement being just the start of the process, Keane was adamant to stress that news of the possible sale was something to be celebrated.
He told ITV: "That’s good news for United fans, again, the last few years they’ve wanted [the] owners out, there’s been no relationship, they're business people so it’s good news for the fans."
Keane then cheekily added that news of the sale would "cheer him up" when discussing Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from the club.
