Roy Keane pinpoints four key Man Utd changes Marcus Rashford has made under Erik ten Hag

Roy Keane has lauded Marcus Rashford for his resurgence under Erik ten Hag after the Manchester United striker scored twice during emphatic 3-1 win against Arsenal.

Rashford bagged his first brace since December 2020 in the victory on Sunday, as the Red Devils made it four successive Premier League wins. Having also scored to help his side beat Liverpool three weeks ago, the 24-year-old academy graduate is on a roll under new manager Ten Hag.

Post-match, United icon Keane was asked on Sky Sports to identify what's changed in Rashford's game since Ten Hag walked through the door at Old Trafford. "Hunger, desire, decision-making, stretching teams," the Irish legend responded.

Keane still feels that there's more to come, though, noting: "He needs to improve on his hold-up play, he had a full pre-season with the club - different to last summer - he looks settled, happy in his mindset when Marcus is at, he is a handful.

"When he stretches teams he is a good, good player. Today, Marcus was brilliant. I was tough on him over the last year or two and needs to be more consistent but today, fantastic."

The former United captain also heaped praise on the Red Devils' performance as a team, with Keane going on to say: " A hugely important win for Man United, I think what I like from this team over the last couple of weeks is the spirit, the personality in the team.

"Second half they played on the counter-attack, they were clinical, could've scored a few more goals, few big wins for the club, the momentum's coming back, the feel-good factors there, the fans are buzzing. It’s a good day for them."

Rashford himself was delighted after beating Arsenal, saying: " We showed up, we stood up to the challenge, we can be proud of ourselves. Sharp turnaround to the next game but it's nice to get into the rhythm of things and keep playing games."

Quizzed on what his team can take from the 90 hotly-contested minutes, the England international - who's hoping to play at the World Cup after a spell out of the squad - stated: "Togetherness for me, you only win these types of games when you're in a team and we showed in the last few games, being 1-0 up that we can see a game out but we had to be ruthless to get more goals.

"We got two more goals in the second half when we could’ve had more so definitely something to work on, build on and take it into the next game. It's a great feeling, you do miss it as a player. Hopefully I can stay fit, stay healthy and keeping performances out like that."
