James Garner has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout performers this season.
The Manchester United midfielder has been a mainstay in the Reds’ midfield and looks to have a bright future ahead of him, whether at Old Trafford or elsewhere.
He will have learned a great deal from Forest’s narrow FA Cup defeat against Liverpool, acquitting himself well against Premier League heavyweights. Former Forest and Man United midfielder Roy Keane likes what he sees in the 21-year-old and has been impressed with the partnership he has developed with Ryan Yates.

“He has got a good partnership with Yatesy going in the middle of midfield,” said pundit Keane during ITV’s coverage of the game.
“I think they complement each other very well. He [Garner] is very good technically and he likes to dictate the play a little bit more than Yates.
Keane added: "Tough game for him today, but this game is good for those young players to experience, playing against these top players like Liverpool, it is a great way to learn."
