Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have said Roy Keane has been 'close' to signing up for I'm A Celebrity as they admitted he is top of their wish list.
They went on to call on the Irish football legend to head into the Australian jungle next year, saying: 'Maybe next year could be the year'.
In a chat with fans after Monday night’s live show last night, the pair responded to a viewer who suggested Keane as an idea for next season.

Ant quickly jumped in, saying: “You know what, Roy Keane would be very good. We’ve asked him on a few occasions. And he’s been close, he has been close to saying yes so maybe next year could be the year! So Come on Roy Keane. Do it for the lads, son.”
Dec added: “Roy Keane is top of our list, I would love Roy Keane.”
The Irish football star previously revealed he had talks with ITV about appearing on the series in the past and didn’t rule it out in the future, saying ‘who knows’.
The football pundit has since been the bookies’ favourite to join the notorious reality TV show every year, with bookmakers noting his obvious ‘star quality’.
In the same Instagram Live video chat, Geordie duo Ant and Dec also discussed the possibility of Olivia Attwood’s return to the show next year following her shock departure early on.
The Love Island star was forced to quit the show last week after just 24 hours in camp, after A fan asked: “Can you bring Olivia back next year? We are missing a feisty female.”
Ant replied: “That’s not a bad idea. I’m going to put that to the powers that be at the end of this show and hopefully I’ll have an answer sometime tomorrow.”
It comes after the former Love Island contestant, 31, was forced to withdraw from the ITV show after a routine blood test showed she had low sodium and potassium levels, while also flagging anaemia.
Speaking out yesterday, on ITV’s This Morning, Olivia said she was "gutted" her time was cut short and admitted that she hoped to re-enter the camp after the tests showed she was okay.
But she said the producers and medical team were worried that her iron levels would drop again.
In her first TV interview since her exit, she said: "I am grateful I’m healthy, but it makes it harder to accept because I’m frustrated because I’m fine. It is what it is. Gutted."
She said: “There’s loads [of rumours] swirling around the internet and I think ‘Olivia Attwood pregnant’ was trending on Twitter – and it’s not that I can assure you – and it’s not that exciting when it boils down to it.”
“I was pulled out on my first day in main camp for a routine medical check… So I had my blood taken and the results showed that my iron was low. I was showing up as anaemic.”
She went on: “I was really in my element in there, and I felt healthy, so I was even more confused.”
She continued: “I’ve been a big fan of the show all my life.
"Those conversations about the jungle started the first year I left Love Island, it’s been five years in the making for that moment.
"I think when you come off reality shows you get a huge opportunity and I’ve done amazing things.
"But also I think you can be put in a box and I was looking forward to showing a different side to myself.
"I am not a quitter, I am not scared of much and I was loving it and looking forward to having that exposure to a new audience who either don’t know me or think they do but probably don’t know who I really am."
