Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have told Fabio Paratici why Tottenham Hotspur must complete the signing of Christian Eriksen this summer amid growing interest from the north London side. The 30-year-old impressed for Brentford against Manchester United despite the Bees' 3-0 defeat.
Eriksen, who joined Brentford in January on a six-month deal, has enjoyed a spectacular campaign with Thomas Frank's side this season, featuring eight times in the Premier League while directly contributing to three goals. The Denmark international has grown into a driving force for Brentford, steering the west London side away from relegation back into the Championship.
The Dane's dazzling displays have attracted the attention of several top-flight clubs, with Leicester City, United and Newcastle among those willing to secure his signature in the summer, according to the Evening Standard. The report outlines that Tottenham are also considering a move for Eriksen.

So, with growing interest in the midfielder, Keane and Carragher have handed transfer chief Paratici the ultimatum he needs to accelerate a deal. Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Manchester United midfielder said: "He’s the bit of quality, he’s the one bit of hope to get back into the game. He’s fantastic. We have seen with his ball for Toney’s header. All the good stuff has come through Eriksen."
Singing from the same hymn sheet, the former Liverpool defender showered Eriksen with praise for his display at Old Trafford. Carragher said: "It was a brilliant. When you think about it, kick-off is a set piece. They’ve worked on this, straight from kick-off. Eriksen’s been fantastic."
Though despite the interest in Eriksen, Brentford believe they have a 'strong chance' of extending his stay at the Community Stadium. Speaking after the Bees defeat to United, Frank said: “I am always positive. I always believe we have a very good chance. I know he is happy here, he is enjoying his football. It is a decision that will be taken at the end of the season.”
