Roy Keane and Denis Irwin are in a tie for the second-best Irish players ever according to a former Manchester United teammate.
Dwight Yorke, who played for United during the glory years of the 1990's, believes that Paul McGrath is the greatest Irish player of all time.
McGrath and Yorke both played for United but it was during their spells at Aston Villa were the two men were teammates. The Irishman was sold by Alex Ferguson to Villa in 1989, while Yorke arrived a year later at Villa Park.

The pair played together for six years at Villa Park before Yorke departed for Old Trafford in 1996. The striker played with both Irwin and Keane in the famous United side that won multiple major trophy's, but in his eyes, McGrath was a cut above the rest.
"For me, Paul McGrath is Ireland's best-ever player," Yorke told Cheltenham Betting.
"And Dennis Irwin is on par with Roy Keane as the second-best."
During their time together in the midlands, Yorke and McGrath formed a key part of one of the most successful Villa sides in recent times.
Villa have reached just a single major final since then, losing to Manchester United in the 2010 League Cup final at Wembley.
