Roy Keane aims dig at Arsenal over Gary Neville comment after Manchester United defeat

Despite falling to defeat at Old Trafford, many people have praised Arsenal's performance in their 3-1 loss at Manchester United.

Gary Neville was among those to heap praise on Arsenal's display, particularly in the first 70 minutes of the game. The Gunners took 16 shots and dominated possession in their first defeat of the season, but the game ultimately got away from them, with United proving a threat on the counter-attack.

Arsenal got back on level terms on the hour mark after Bukayo Saka cancelled out Antony's debut strike. Marcus Rashford restored United's lead six minutes later, and while Mikel Arteta made tactical changes as Arsenal searched for a second equaliser, Rashford grabbed a brace after being played in by Christian Eriksen.

While Neville believes the Gunners' performance highlighted their top four credentials, Roy Keane wasn't quite so complimentary about their display.

"Arsenal taking all the plaudits, I’d rather the points than the plaudits," Keane said on Sky Sports' Super Sunday.

"Second half, they (Manchester United) played on the counter-attack, they were clinical, could’ve scored a few more goals, few big wins for the club, the momentum’s coming back, the feel-good factors there, the fans are buzzing. It’s a good day for them."
