Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is facing a big call over his future as the English Premier League giants attempt to offload the England cap amid links with Celtic.
Rumours have been circulating over a potential move for the England cap north of the border with the 28-year-old failing to even win a squad number with the Blues so far this season. Thomas Tuchel is keen to offload the midfielder before September 1. He failed to make his mark on loan at Aston Villa last term and with just a year left on his Chelsea deal a cut-price deal could be on the cards, with several English outlets claiming Barkley is on the Celtic Park radar.
West Ham have been touted as a potential destination, but Chelsea are reportedly attempting to manoeuvre a return to Everton for Barkley as they look to bring Anthony Gordon to London. The Blues have had seen a first £40million bid rejected for the 21-year-old and reports suggest the club are plotting a second offer.
Football London claim that Barkley could play a key part in a that swoop with Barkley, Michy Bathshuayi and Billy Gilmour all being floated to Frank Lampard. Lampard has previously worked with the trio when in charge at Chelsea.
A return to Goodison Park could appeal to Barkley after a lacklustre spell in the London. However, Ange Postecoglou has kick-started the career of Joe Hart in the Scottish Premiership after he fell out of the picture at Tottenham.
The offer of Champions League football could be a factor as the Englishman looks to make his final call before the transfer window slams shut.
