Ross Barkley can get his career back on track by making a move to Celtic this month.
That is the verdict of former Aston Villa striker and talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor, as he opened up on the Chelsea midfielder. Ange Postecoglou has had a busy summer to date as he continues to add to his Hoops pool. The Scottish champions could still see ins and outs in the next couple of weeks with the Aussie boss admitting they will 'stay active'.
Barkley - who has also played for Everton, Villa and is capped over 30 times for the England national team - is a name that has been linked with a switch to Parkhead with Celtic looking to retain the Premiership crown they won back from Rangers last season and make a splash in the Champions League with automatic group stage qualification in the bag following that title triumph. Agbonlahor reckons clubs in England's top division will NOT be looking at the Chelsea fringe star and a move to Scotland could help him get good games under his belt and get back to enjoying his football.

Speaking to Football Insider about the 28-year-old to Celtic, he said: “I think so, yes.
“Ross Barkley has not lived up to the hype since he joined Chelsea.
“He had some good games at Aston Villa but he didn’t keep it up for the whole season.
“Premier League clubs will be put off by him, to be honest. I don’t think Premier League clubs would look at him at the moment, to be honest.
“Scotland is somewhere he can go and get some good form under his belt.
“It would be a good move for him, somewhere he can step it up.
“He’s a 28-year-old who needs to get back to enjoying his football.”
