Roslyn Singleton has died at the age of 39 after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013.
She was a fan favourite following her appearances on America's Got Talent and The Ellen Show and her death was confirmed by her husband in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
Fellow America's Got Talent alum, Ray Singleton, wrote: "Our wife earned her wings yesterday while peacefully sleeping right at home where she wanted to be. This road ahead is going to be INCREDIBLY long & difficult!"
He continued to share his thoughts, writing: "She taught us all SOMETHING…She's where we're all trying to get one day so no need to be sad! Now we celebrate her legacy, her impact, her story & HER SPIRIT!"
He later shared a sad news bulletin about his wife's death, captioning the post: "YOU SHOOK UP THE WORLD GIRL‼️‼️ @iamrosroyal."
Roslyn first went viral in 2020 when Ray shared a video of him singing to her as she went into brain surgery. Shortly after, the pair took to the AGT stage as Ray performed.
She also won the hearts of viewers after her appearances on The Ellen Show, while the couple were also featured in the docuseries titled Black Love which further highlighted their story.
Her brain cancer diagnosis was first confirmed in 2013. She was in remission until a second tumour was found in 2019.
In 2020, she defiantly said: "Even though I have this situation, it doesn't defeat me. It doesn't get me down It doesn't make me feel like ‘Why me.' It makes me feel like, ‘Thank God it was me.' That's how I feel."
Ellen DeGeneres took to Instagram following the news of Roslyn's death to pen a heartfelt message. On The Ellen Show's page, she wrote: "I was devastated to hear that the incredible Roslyn passed away a few days ago.
"She was such a light in the face of really difficult circumstances. I hope her memory inspires you the way it inspires me. Sending all her loved ones so much love and strength, especially her amazing husband, Ray."
TV personality Shaunie Henderson also wrote: "Rest well Queen, she will be missed. God bless you Will, we will be praying for you and your family. sending LOVE."
Roslyn is survived by her husband.
