Rosie the dog stole the show as she met Prince William and Princess Kate at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the new Royal Liverpool Hospital on Thursday to speak to staff and visit a new ward. After being taken on a tour of the hospital's critical care unit, the Royals were introduced to volunteer Jim Moubray and therapy dog Rosie.
The heartwarming moment was captured on camera as staff gathered round to meet the Prince and Princess. Prince William was seen giving the golden retriever a treat before Kate crouched down to stroke her.

But the Royal visit soon proved too much for dog Rosie, who was pictured having a lie down and falling fast asleep.
During their visit to the new hospital, the Royals spoke to staff and thanked them for their service. Prince William asked staff: "Are you looking after yourself?" To which they replied yes they were.
Prince William said: "The hospital can’t function without all the care you provide." He added they do an "amazing" job.
