Rosamund Pike has revealed she felt “mortified” during her first onscreen sex scene with Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond film, Die Another Day.
The Gone Girl star was just 22 when she played Bond girl, Miranda Frost, opposite Brosnan, then 48, in the 007 action flick in 2002.
Her character, an MI6 double agent, had to seduce Bond at an Iceland palace, where they had a sex scene on a swan-shaped bed.
“I discovered things like nipple covers, and all the taping,” the actress, 46, recalled on David Tennant Does a Podcast With....
“We have this clinch, and then we separate, and I look at this body tape and the nipple covers and they're covered in hair.
“And I think, ‘Oh my God, I'm waxing Pierce's chest!’ I was so mortified! I thought, ‘Oh my God, he's so brave, and I'm pulling off his chest hair with every embrace.’”

However, the Saltburn actress soon realised the blunder wasn’t as bad as she had initially thought, explaining: “It took a couple of takes to realize it was not him.
“It was the fake fur of the rugs adorning the swan bed. I literally thought I was waxing the poor man's chest!”
The British star also reflected on the age gap between her and Brosnan at the time, calling the Irish actor, 71, “an absolute gent”.
She said filming Die Another Day was like a “magic carpet of an experience” as her first scene was with Dame Judi Dench, she got to sword fight with Halle Berry, and flirted with Madonna during a fencing scene.
Pike told Tennant that she had never seen a Bond film before her audition.
"I took my mother's concert dress to the audition," Pike said, adding that she thought it was the kind of sophisticated garment a Bond girl might wear.

However she was told during the audition, “That is a very, very lovely dress but Bond girls wear things more like this" before being presented with "a shimmering sheath”.
The Wheel of Time star previously revealed she was asked to "drop my dress and appear in my underwear” during the awkward audition - but chose to wear a sheer dress instead.
“I just thought if they’re gonna see me in my underwear, they better give me the job. So, I thought, ‘There’s no way I’m going to take off a dress in the audition for this tape to be sent around Los Angeles and to be judged on that,' Pike said on Amazon’s Audible Sessions in 2018.
The actress later acknowledged that she felt comfortable on set thanks to famed Bond producer, Barbara Broccoli.
