Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are lurking ominously ahead of the weekend at the Travelers Championship.
Following on from his hole-in-one heroics on Thursday, McIlroy started hot and carded five Birdies to reach the turn in 30.
Another three Birdies followed on his second nine, but a sloppy double bogey on his final hole at the Par 3 ninth cost McIlroy a couple of shots.

A fine round of 64 however sees McIlroy move up the leaderboard into a tie for 10th place ahead of moving day tomorrow.
Lowry struggled to recapture the form that saw him shoot 64 on Thursday but still carded a 69 and is on seven-under par ahead of the weekend.
With the Irish well positioned, Denny McCarthy and Keegan Bradley are the men they have to chase down. The American duo top the leaderboard after carding rounds of five-under and seven-under respectively.
