Rory McIlroy has been announced as Tiger Woods' partner to take on Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth in the latest iteration of 'The Match.'
The two teams will face off against each other in four weeks time under the lights at Pelican Golf Club. For Woods, this will be his first televised golf event since he missed the cut at The Open in July.
This is Woods' third time featuring in 'The Match' having appeared in the first and second editions alongside Phil Mickelson and a number of celebrities. For Thomas, McIlroy and Spieth, they will be making their 'Match' debuts.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Woods said "Can’t wait to play in Capital One’s: The Match with @McIlroyRory against @JustinThomas34 and @JordanSpieth to raise money for Hurricane Ian relief. See you boys under the lights on December 10th."
The event, which will take place on December 10th, will see the four esteemed golfers tee it up in an attempt to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Ian.
The Hurricane wreaked havoc towards the end of September/beginning of October, and claimed the lived of over 150 people, while at the same time causing over 50 billion dollars worth of damages.
