Rory McIlroy has surprised a six-year-old superfan with some signed gear after the youngster tried to copy the golf star's signature onto his own hat.
The child tried his best to carve 'Rory McIlroy' onto his hat in honour of his favourite golfer.
Seeing the young boy's best effort on Twitter, McIlroy asked whether he could get in touch with the family in order to give his fan the 'real thing.'

Replying to the boy's father's tweet showing off the little guy's artwork, McIlroy said: "This is great. But how about the real thing?! I’ll DM you for your address.
The father replied by saying: "Thank you so much @McIlroyRory that’s very kind of you! My son is stoked. Glad our kids have a role model like you to look up to in the @PGATOUR."
The father and son duo had been to the Travelers Championship last weekend where they saw McIlroy finish in seventh place.
McIlroy will play the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club before heading to Royal Liverpool for the Open.
