Rory McIlroy revealed a hilarious hairstyle on TV after admitting he wouldn't let his wife cut it during lockdown.
The 30-year-old returns to action this Sunday in the TaylorMade Driving Relief challenge at Florida's Seminole Country Club.
McIlroy said he was relieved that barbers shops and salons had reopened in the US ahead of the charity event.
The Co Down golfer admitted he had to fend off his wife Erica who was keen to chop his locks while they were bunkered down in their Florida home.
"I'm so happy that hairdressers and barber shops have opened again," McIlroy told Golf TV.
"I haven't let my wife Erica anywhere near my hair since this whole thing.
"It's under the hat now, but it's sort of covering my face, so I'm ready for a haircut."
McIlroy 's current hairstyle is a throwback to his early days as a golf professional, when he sported long curly hair.
In a separate interview with Sky Sports, he offered another "sneak peek" of his hair.
"I don't usually sit in the house with a hat on, but I will give you a sneak peek of just what it's like," he said.
"It is getting back to the early 2010s. It is very long."
He added: "I will let a professional do it when the right time comes along. I can put a hat on it in the meantime."
