Rory McIlroy could end the day €3.38 million ($3.6 million) as he goes in search of victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday evening.
The Holywood star had looked doubtful to even make it to the weekend after a disappointing first round on Thursday. He bounced back on Friday to make the cut, before shooting the lights out on Saturday to put himself in contention.
A stunning 68 in round three moved McIlroy to six-under-par for the tournament and within touching distance of the leaders.

The World Number three sits in a tie for fifth place before a ball is hit on Sunday, and is just three strokes behind Kurt Kitayama who occupies top spot.
If he pulls off the stunning win, McIlroy will take home a whopping cheque of €3.38 million
As the Arnold Palmer Invitational is a newly recognised 'designated' PGA event, the prize money for the winner dwarfs the money on offer at the same event just twelve months ago.
Scottie Scheffler was victorious on that occasion and earned a cool €2.02 million ($2.16 million) for his troubles.
In order for McIlroy to earn the big bucks today he will have to force his way up the leaderboard past some huge names. Scheffler is just one shot off the lead in second place, while last year's tied runners up Viktor Hovland are in a tie for second and fourth place respectively.
McIlroy will tee off at 6pm this evening, while the final group begins their round 20 minutes later.
