He has one of the most recognisable names in world sport but it seems not everyone knows how to pronounce it properly.
Rory McIlroy has been playing at The Genesis Invitational in California this week, alongside some other leading players including Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Cantlay.
The Holywood native went into the tournament ranked number two in the world, and is one of the biggest names to be competing at Riviera Golf Course.

But despite familiarity with the McIlroy name, it seems there are other versions.
Earlier in the week the PGA announcer came up with an American twist to Rory's surname.
Announcing the 33-year-old on the first tee, the announcer showed a few nerves when he called out something along the lines of Rory 'McKelroy'.

McIlroy went into Sunday's final round some 11 shots off leader Rahm, the Spaniard holding a healthy three-shot lead at Riviera Golf Course.
