Rory McIlroy has spoken for the first time after falling just short at the 2023 US Open.
McIlroy battled with eventual winner Wyndham Clark with the American winning his first major in stunning fashion.
Northern Ireland man McIlroy hit one birdie, one bogey and 16 pars and missed out by just one shot.

And the four-time major winner spoke to NBC after the game, saying: "I'll rue some of the chances that I missed. It was hard to get the ball close all day. It was that and the wedge shot on 14 coming up a little bit short.
"Those are the couple of things I'll rue today but I hung in there and fought right to the end. I didn't quite get the job down but I'm going to keep coming back until I get another one."
McIlroy will get a chance at next month's Open Championship in Hoylake, a venue where he won the Claret Jug back in 2014.
