Yet to hit the panic button, Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has ruled out swapping his halves in a bid to drag the Tricolours out of an early-season rut.
The Roosters' misfiring attack, which even Robinson described as "clunky," has been blamed for one of the NRL's pre-season title favourites' lacklustre start to 2022.
With four wins - and no big scalps - from seven games, the Roosters are sitting sixth almost a third of the way through the year.
Skipper James Tedesco concedes five-eighth Sam Walker and halfback Luke Keary's similar playing style has stifled the side's attack, leaving Robinson to address the "disconnect" following a shock Anzac Day loss to St George Illawarra.
Robinson has heard the outside noise but says switching Keary back to five-eighth - where he won the Clive Churchill Medal in the Roosters' 2018 grand-final triumph over Melbourne after also helping South Sydney to the 2014 title - hasn't been discussed.
Instead Robinson has placed the onus on himself and the rest of the coaching staff to provide Keary with a firmer game plan.
"I believe in 'Kez' and believe in what he can produce and that's on us coaches being clear," Robinson said ahead of Saturday's clash with Canterbury at Accor Stadium.
"I actually feel individually he's defending really well, he's kicking really well and he's actually attacking quite well.
"But it's up to me as the coach to put them, their positions together. That's my responsibility."
Robinson dismissed talk reigniting the Roosters' flagging fortunes was the biggest challenge of his decade-long tenure at Bondi Junction.
"We've been through this before," said the three-time premiership-winning mentor.
"I've seen this on a few occasions and I'm really positive about where we're at but I also know there's work to be done and that will start on Saturday.
"I'm really positive about what we can produce through the conversations this week, through the attitude and belief that we have.
"So I'm looking forward to going after the game on Saturday as well through the discussions and a bit of the training that we did today.
"There were a couple of areas that we had to fine-tune and we'll nail them on Saturday."
