Sydney Roosters star Joey Manu has avoided a ban for a high shot on Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, after he was sin-binned late in his team's win over the Dolphins.

Manu was left sweating on the release of the NRL's charge sheet on Saturday morning after he collected Tabuai-Fidow high during Friday nights' 40-34 victory in Perth.

The Roosters centre was charged but can escape with a $1000 fine over the tackle.

The news will come as a relief for the Roosters, after Manu's right-edge winger Dom Young limped from HBF Park with a hamstring injury.

The Roosters have battled injuries and bans in their outside backs all season, and are still without veteran Michael Jennings for another match through suspension.

The Tri-colours have a bye next week, before facing Parramatta in round 24 as they continue their push for a top-two spot and home final.

Dolphins second-rower Keeley Oryn and Warriors five-eighth Chanel Harris-Tavita were also charged following Friday's matches, but can also accept fines.
