In news that shouldn’t surprise many people, the Denver Broncos’ highly drafted rookie quarterback Bo Nix appears to be the clear favorite to win the starting job over veterans Zach Wilson and Jarrett Stidham as the team moves toward training camp.
“The only way Nix won’t be the starter, in my estimation, is if he’s vastly outplayed by one of the other quarterbacks in camp,” Wrote the Athletics’ Nick Kosmider “There were no signs during the offseason program to suggest that will be the case, but let’s see how all three passers perform at the start of camp.”

Given that Nix’s competition has seen very little success in the league so far in their careers respectively, it naturally seems like the talented and collegiately experienced former Oregon quarterback would hold down the starting job. Head coach Sean Payton has put all his eggs in Nix’s basket, and his success as a rookie is going to dictate just how successful this team will be going into year two of the Payton regime.
